The American Legion, Chief Cornplanter Post 135 is now online, as well as on Facebook & Twitter. While the site is now officially live, we still have some work to do with it, namely adding information about the Post, its commanders, and its mission & history. We're still happy to have it up and running as is though, and will continue to add more information to it as time goes on, especially come the summer months. So have a look, and by all means, send feedback!
We started (and finished) a culinary site for executive chef, David Marteau. The site, DavidMarteau.com exists solely to introduce himself, and sell his book, "Creative Cooking for the Global Kitchen", available on Amazon.com. That being said, it was a pretty simple site to build, using bootstrap, and linking all of his social media, plus a link to Amazon. The whole site was started and finished in a day. Have a look & check out his book on Amazon.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from our family to yours!
Between a couple companies, a couple organizations & a lot of FB, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram & other social sites, we've completed phase one of restructuring. In the next several months, we'll be merging 2 companies together, plus pushing already existing accounts on Social Media to help promote a select few main ones, while keeping the content of each outlet relevant to the audience already following.
Internet security is a big deal, whether you believe it or not. At any given time, someone can be using your apps to gain information about you, where you are & what you're doing. Find out what you're leaking to the world via your browser & take action. See Robin Linus's page for a full workup of YOUR browser: http://webkay.robinlinus.com/ Then test your other browsers & see how they compare.
We're going to be creating brochures for our travel site, intltraveler.com, using some upcoming listings as a test (and practice) for creating more print media. What better way to showcase than by putting up actual, live downloadable & printable brochures for a few areas that could really use them? These'll be in Adobe Photoshop, as we see this more commonly used by non-graphic designers than Adobe Illustrator. We'll link a few here & there on our social media platforms, so you'll have an idea what to expect should you decide to order a design from us.
We began work on the American Legion, Chief Cornplanter Post 135 website just last week. We'll be adding things such as the band schedule, as well as links to their already existing facebook page. The site itself will also be automatically populated with their Facebook posts, to allow for little to no actual updating needs on the site itself, while still keeping it fresh. We may also add a Twitter function to do the same.
The Marine Corps League in Warren PA hold occasional raffles, ticket sales & other benefits to help fund projects like Toys for Tots & more. This summer, Solairen agreed to buy, build and host a small, mostly informational website for the league, in order to help people know what's going on with the league. The site, http://marinecorpsleaguewarrenpa.com, currently utilizing the original Warren Vets template, will tell you how to get there, what's coming up, and how to find them and "like" them on Facebook.
Lakewood, New York is home to the American Legion, Post 1286, and Solairen servers are home to www.lakewoodlegion.com. For years, the Legion website was run using Wordpress as a back-end, but we felt their online presence would more benefit from a good old Drupal installation. So we took the site apart, kept the images, kept the overall look, of course, kept the news, and recreated it using Drupal.
