We're going to be creating brochures for our travel site, intltraveler.com, using some upcoming listings as a test (and practice) for creating more print media. What better way to showcase than by putting up actual, live downloadable & printable brochures for a few areas that could really use them? These'll be in Adobe Photoshop, as we see this more commonly used by non-graphic designers than Adobe Illustrator. We'll link a few here & there on our social media platforms, so you'll have an idea what to expect should you decide to order a design from us.
We began work on the American Legion, Chief Cornplanter Post 135 website just last week. We'll be adding things such as the band schedule, as well as links to their already existing facebook page. The site itself will also be automatically populated with their Facebook posts, to allow for little to no actual updating needs on the site itself, while still keeping it fresh. We may also add a Twitter function to do the same.
The Marine Corps League in Warren PA hold occasional raffles, ticket sales & other benefits to help fund projects like Toys for Tots & more. This summer, Solairen agreed to buy, build and host a small, mostly informational website for the league, in order to help people know what's going on with the league. The site, http://marinecorpsleaguewarrenpa.com, currently utilizing the original Warren Vets template, will tell you how to get there, what's coming up, and how to find them and "like" them on Facebook.
Lakewood, New York is home to the American Legion, Post 1286, and Solairen servers are home to www.lakewoodlegion.com. For years, the Legion website was run using Wordpress as a back-end, but we felt their online presence would more benefit from a good old Drupal installation. So we took the site apart, kept the images, kept the overall look, of course, kept the news, and recreated it using Drupal.
This is all experimental, and sort of a last-minute addition, but we're going to be testing out some live-streaming of the Fourth of July Celebration around Warren PA this weekend, and will be broadcasting it on our Periscope Feed.
We added maps to our Warren County Veterans Page, and will see about adding more contact info to those who decide to list it. We do have info, but will not publish without the consent of managers & officers in charge of each post or organization.
We also added 2 charities to the list; Hometown Heroes and the Fourth of July Committee. Please let us know if we missed one.
If you're in the Warren area, looking for a veterans organization, have a look at our Warren Veterans' Organizations listings. If you're someone who is a member or manager, and you'd like to add more direct contact information, let us know, and we'll be happy to add an email, phone number, website or all three. If you're in need of a website, by all means, contact us.
For now, the link is http://www.warrenvets.com. We'll be getting a new proper domain for it soon enough, and will update our site accordingly.
We've ran the Warren County Victim Impact Panel website for a couple years now, however, with the majority of their followers on facebook, we decided to do a simple one-page design to keep it online, however, direct those in need of their services to their facebook page directly. The Warren County VIP admins are available on facebook, and please, if you're a victim of a drunk driver, or are someone who wants to share a story, contact them.
We've been working on some major updates to the Fourth of July Celebration website in Warren Pennsylvania, and will soon be migrating the site to the new (and improved) Drupal 8 content management system. While D8 had just been released a couple months ago, and there's not a whole lot of themes for it yet, we've decided to work on the back-end first, then worry about a theme a bit later down the road. Functionality should always come first. Once that's set, the rest just falls into place.
